1. Add vegetable oil to a large skillet. Heat over medium heat.
2. Sauté chicken and onion until chicken juices run clear, and onion is tender.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Transfer chicken and onion mixture to large bowl. Stir in taco seasoning, sour cream, cheddar cheese, chopped tomatoes, diced avocado, and romaine lettuce.
5. Place equal amounts of chicken mixture across center of tortillas.
6. Roll tortillas up and slice crosswise diagonally.
