1. Heat grill pan over medium heat.
2. Coat 1 side of 8 bread slices with melted butter.
3. Place 4 bread slices, melted butter side down on work surface.
4. Spread each slices with Dijon mayonnaise, top with ¼ bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, and apple slices.
5. Top with remaining bread, melted butter side up.
6. Place sandwiches on grill pan. Top with foil. Place heavy skillet on foil to weigh down.
7. Cook 5 minutes, turning once.
