Open Face Steak Sandwich

Italian bread topped with deli roast beef, pears, scallions, diced tomato, and flavored with roasted garlic olive oil and blue cheese dressing.
Ingredients -
24 (1/2" thick) slices Italian Bread, diagonally sliced
3 tablespoons Roasted Garlic Olive Oil
1 cup Blue Cheese Dressing
6 Dried Pear Halves, finely diced
1/4 cup sliced Scallions
3/4 pound Chunk Deli Roast Beef, diced
1 cup Tomato, seeded, diced
1/2 teaspoon Coarse Salt
1/2 teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper
1/2 cup Basil Leaves, finely shredded
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. Brush one side of Italian bread slices with roasted garlic olive oil.

3. Place bread, oil side up on baking sheet.

4. Bake 10 minutes, or until bread slices are golden and crispy.

5. Turn and bake additional 6 minutes.

6. Remove bread and cool.

7. Add blue cheese dressing, dried pear halves, and sliced scallions to small bowl.

8. In separate bowl, toss diced roast beef with diced tomato, coarse salt, and fresh ground black pepper.

9. Spread crostini with dressing.

10. Top with roast beef and tomato mixture.

11. Garnish with shredded basil.
