French Onion Sandwich

Browned onions and cube steak served on Frecnh bread, topped with a spicy sauce and swiss cheese.
Ingredients -
2 tablespoons Butter
4 (4 ounce) Beef Cube Steaks
1 medium Onion, sliced and separated into rings
1 cup Beef Broth
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
1/8 teaspoon Garlic Powder
dash Black Pepper
4 (1-inch) slices French Bread, toasted
2 (1-ounce) slices Swiss Cheese, halved
 
Preparation:

1. Melt butter in large skillet.

2. Add beef steaks and brown over medium high heat 3 minutes. Turn and brown 3 minutes on other side.

3. Remove steaks from pan, add onions to reserve pan drippings.

4. Sauté onions until tender.

5. In small bowl, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and fresh ground pepper.

6. Add beef broth mixture to skillet.

7. Cook additional 2 minutes.

8. Place steaks on French bread.

9. Top with Swiss cheese and onion mixture.

10. Serve hot.
