Crockpot Sausage Pepper Sandwiches

Italian sausage, green pepper, and onion slow cooked with tomato sauce and served on sub sandwich rolls.
Ingredients -
5 uncooked Italian Sausage Links (about 20 ounces)
1 medium Green Pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 Large Onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 (8 ounces) can Tomato Sauce
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
6 Hoagie or Submarine Sandwich Buns, split
 
Preparation:

1. Sauté link sausage in large skillet over medium heat.

2. Cut into ½-inch pieces.

3. Place cooked sausage in crockpot.

4. Stir in green bell pepper pieces, chopped onion, tomato sauce, and fresh ground black pepper.

5. Cover crockpot. Cook on LOW 8 hours.

6. Carefully serve sausage and vegetables on sandwich buns, using slotted spoon.
