Turkey Cheeseburgers

Ground turkey combined with shredded cheese, grated zucchini, and seasoned with onion powder, basil, and fresh ground black pepper.
Ingredients -
1-1/4 pounds Ground Turkey
1 medium Zucchini, trimmed and grated
1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Dried Basil
1/4 teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper
4 Multigrain Rolls or Hamburger Buns, toasted
shredded Lettuce
Beefsteak Tomato slices
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat broiler.

2. Add ground turkey, grated zucchini, cheddar cheese, salt, onion powder, dried basil, and fresh ground black pepper to a large bowl.

3. Stir to combine.

4. Shape into 4 patties.

5. Place burger patties on broiler pan.

6. Broil 12 minutes, turning once.

7. Remove burgers from heat to plate. Allow to rest 2-3 minutes.

8. Place burgers on buns, garnish with shredded lettuce and tomato slices.

Ground turkey comes in one or two fat content varieties. One lean, and one very lean. Both are excellent for you. The less fat, the less flavor.

Turkey burgers grill very nicely. Preheat your grill to medium heat and grill 2-3 minutes per side.
